It never ceases to amaze me how cinematic every aspect of the Eager Beavers’ story is, from start to finish.
The end of their story is, of course, the most well-known, and for good reason.
As it’s gained attention, so too, finally, have a number of their exploits up to that end. They’ve been subject to the same issues of hyperbole and inaccuracy as the ending has always been, but at least—for the most part—the essentials are there.
The same can’t be said of their beginning. The real origins of the crew have never been related accurately. (Well, almost never.)
With this video, I begin to set things straight.

Thanks for the continued research into the 43rd. I relish every morsel. Jay Jackson.
Thanks so much for that, Jay. I’d keep doing it anyway, but it’s great to hear that someone’s appreciating it.

Well done. I knew a little of that, bits and pieces, but not this whole story. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to more. Del Hayes
Thanks, and yeah, there are so many aspects of this that still haven’t seen the light of day. Doing my best to throw back the curtains on them.
